The question I have with the article is that they didn't test 20W/50 which the MGB Workshop manual recommends. We don't really know from the Quantum Mechanics article how 20W/50 performs.

And God knows , the people who built and sold the damned things , have no idea what the proper lubricants should be , right ? :hammer: .

Hmm. Just came across this discussion. Better late than never, I suppose.
Based on the info given, I think I'll run Tractor Hydraulic Fluid from now on, with a splash of diesel anti-gel for an added layer of security.
In baseball, running into someone is apparently a "collision".
But doing the same thing in a car somehow makes it an "accident".
