MGB GT brake cylinders (rear) in a MGB Roadster. Worth it?

I have to replace a brake cylinder that prematurely failed and the old 'upgrade' question comes to mind again. I have Wilwood dual piston fronts on the car. I have read the GT .875 bore is an upgrade and VB is pushing it. Last I read the bleeder is in a different place so some mod has to happen.

Is it at all worth it over the standard .800 bore?

It isn't an upgrade really, it's just a larger cylinder bore. GTs have a different weight balance so a larger bore was used on the rear to offset the weight difference and maintain brake balance. On a roadster with stock brakes up front it would upset this balance but since you've replaced your brakes with aftermarket, the only way to know what you need is to put the brakes through their paces in a variety of situations and see if the current balance needs any correction.

The bleeder is in a different position from what I remember, so you may want to find a set of GT back plates if you make the cylinder switch.

The one thing you want to avoid is having the rear brakes lock before the fronts.
