Hydraulic line for the clutch blew. It was good timing, right as I pulled into the lookout, so at least I was not stuck on the side of the road somewhere.

What's really weird, my dads Lotus broke (in Arizona) and he had to be towed home today too :P

I sure hope that it was just a minor, low-dollar breakdown and not some big bucks mess that keeps you off the road for a while.

What happened and where?

I just finished converting my ride yesterday from camcorder to DVD and am going to post a thread about it, but I was thinking about how much fun you and Steve would have in your little rocket-mobiles. I know you guys would love this run as would anyone else who wanted to come up to the Ventura/Santa Barbara area and experience some great roads and views for about 3 hours.

Let us know the details.

Oops. I am a little late with this post.

Sounds like an easy fix but what a drag. Was the line old? I've heard a few stories about oil pressure gauge hoses blowing up lately.

No, it was pretty new I think. I believe they changed it when the new clutch was put in

Interesting. You may want to find out who made that hose and avoid them for a while!
