No, it's someone else. Here is a photo showing (barely) five of his cars. There are several more out of frame.

Photos of Jim's collection of Bantam Cars and others.

Jim passed away this past Sunday and his family had an open house get together today for the people that knew him from the local area.

Jim was a neat person who lived his life with gusto and the way he wanted and enjoyed all of his cars.

Jim's family has said that the collection will stay together and will continue.

Here is a link to the photos that I snapped today of Jim's collection.

Enjoy the photos as Jim always enjoyed it when folks would drop in to see his collection.

Martin, I've been to that collection. It was quite an eclectic mix of cars! Sad to hear Jim passed away, but I'm glad the collection will remain intact.

The photo I posted above is of another Bantam owner in the Pasadena area.

Spotted in the heart of Van Nuys, a really awesome old Mercedes. I was in the Model T and stuck in construction traffic so I couldn't get any closer than this. Man, it was gorgeous!

This was the best picture we could get. We were traveling north on the 57 towing a 14' trailer with our new car lift in it and could not maneuver very well in traffic to get a better shot, but what we saw was priceless.

Not sure of the exact model, DB2 maybe, Malcolm probably knows for sure. The license plate read "A M O C". If there was any doubt that this was an Aston Martin this sure brought it into focus. The couple driving the car looked like they might be first or second owners, quite a sight indeed

Always have a camera ready when you are on the road. I learned this lesson once again yesterday. While driving home on the 210 W near Glendora we spotted a most magnificent sight. A GM Futurliner being driven east on the back of a flat bed trailer. A little search indicates that it might be on the way to the midwest for an auction. Regardless of it's destination I am glad we got a glimpse of it. Here is a photo from the web that gives you an idea what we saw traveling east.

What are you doing up this early :hammer:

I believe that Furturliner still lives here, thankfully.

That's probably the same one I saw at a Gale Banks gig a few years ago (except I don't recall it having whitewalls).
Either way, the exterior was far more futuristic than the interior.
I'd love to have one of those with a modern 600-plus hp diesel - what a tow vehicle it would be.
In baseball, running into someone is apparently a "collision".
But doing the same thing in a car somehow makes it an "accident".

Spotted on PCH near Carpentaria a couple weeks ago: Neat older Maserati. You don't see this very often anymore.

I need to start carrying a camera more, or remembering my phone. I went for a bike ride last night, and riding past the S. Pasadena farmer's market, spotted a nice Datsun Roadster. Similar to this:

But not this one, obviously.

One of my favorite Japanese cars ever.

How can any man drive with his wedding tackle in the way after seeing that car! Pure sensual beauty!

I had another sighting yesterday where I could not get the camera out quick enough. But I did find a picture of the car online.

If you ask me Morgan should have stayed with the classics they know!

I like the plates on the Morgan in the photo. Not much for custom plates, but it made me chuckle. I like Morgans, but could never get past the headlamps on the Aero model. Something just looks wrong about them, to my eye.
