My wife saw a Morgan Trike at the Harrah's museum in Vegas, and loved it. I told her i could make room for one in the garage..... too bad there so expensive... It might be the only other car I could fit in there right now. If i collected Isetta's and Morgan Trikes, I might be able to fit as many cars in my garage as you do Steve!

Steve, I love that picture. Do you think the passenger is falling out, or leaning for counterbalance like you would on a sailboat? :)

Leaning to keep the thing from flipping over, no doubt! Same idea as side car motorcycle racing.

To think I once used to hang out of a sailboat like that for hours at a time, feet tucked under straps, with nothing holding me up but my leg and ab muscles. Sailors call it hiking. Did it for about fifteen or twenty years, every weekend and a few days during the week when I had my own boat, for practice. Did crunches at night, when I had nothing better to do. I never wanted to ever have to ease the sails because I couldn't hold on. Did what's called 'One Design' racing where everyone has the exact same boat, so you can't spend thousands more to get any advantage. Now both knees are totally gone and the leg and ab muscles just a memory. The wall full of trophies turned into a bad joke to a fat old man. One of the trophies I got was called 'Fanatic of the Year', a ten inch chromed nut, on a pedestal awarded for various reasons, not even related to how much training I was doing, which no one ever knew about of course. I wanted those teenagers and twenty somethings to think they were being beaten by someone twice their age. Never was cunning or expert enough to get by them without the strength and determination.

It appeared to have a lot of XK stuff on it, but it's hard to tell considering how customized the car is. The basic body line in the rear looked like it could be Jag.

The bonnet might be a bit wide near the back to be original but those wing top indicators, I'm searching for, would look nice on my XK 120 replica. As far as I know, they are not available anywhere. They only appear on the early XK120, after then, they all have the molded in lights.

Have to agree with Nate. They also look a lot like they could even be the hood emblem from a fifties Pontiac as some of those emblems light up I think.

I don't see any Chief Pontiac.......

My 1954 Pontiac Super Chief Coupe had that feature , it was amber plastic and , once I replaced the bulb , it lit up at night and drew many positive comments . that was a wonderful car if a poor handling one .

Spotted yesterday afternoon in the 101 freeway in Sherman Oaks, a nice black plate TR-3 driving 80+ MPH. I may be wrong but I think it was a girl driving. Never got around far enough to see for sure before we parted ways at the 405.

Yea Steve it looks like you stopped all traffic and staged the photo.....just kidding....that is a good shot for the speed you where traveling.
Dave Wellwood has one the same color even the interior, but I do not think it is completely finished yet and dose not have the trunk rack to my knowledge.
Nice car either way.

I love the doors on the TR3, and the slot for the tyre. good stuff.

Impressed that it was doing 80. I got my MGA up to 75 once, but started to fear for the engine!

This was kinda cool. Looks like about six Mini's (the real ones, not the BMW replicas) driving along route 66 near my house. I am not sure, but they looked like they were all from England. They were defiantly together with similar stickers all over the cars.

They are the Mini Raid from France. They brought their cars in at the East coast and are driving the length of Route 66. They are heading through Los Angeles where they will ship their cars back in containers and will fly back home from here. What a way to spend your vacation eh?

An Austin Seven group did the same thing a few years ago. Gene and I met them in Pasadena and escorted them through LA. Good people!

Read about it here: http://www.a7route66.typepad.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And then there was my driveway full of Austins the next night!

I really like the early and small Austins! The one on the lift is exactly what I like.
Kind of like a 1930's gangster for the small villages in Europe.

Here is the French Mini Raid website for those interested.

That's really cool. I am glad I had a chance to see them. Wish I was in the B when I saw them. Would have been neat to travel a bit with them on their journey.
