That is a1959 Humber Super Snipe. It could have a 4.0 liter Humber six cylinder, or a 3.4 liter Armstrong-Siddeley engine. Going by the wheels, it might have the ubiquitous small block Chevy.

Re: Spotted Around Town
Dang, Malcolm is never wrong, so I should just stay quiet on this one, but I still think it is a 4 cylinder 2.3L Hawk. The front is different then the Snipe. The Snipe has grill features below the headlights and loads of chrome trim. Someone is just going to have to lift the hood and count the wires...malcolmr18zoy wrote:That is a1959 Humber Super Snipe. Hi Dean,
The extra chrome came on the 1964 models, and the grille center is different on the earlier Hawk.

Austin is correct! The meth camper, and Walt's Aztec from Breaking Bad. They were sitting in an alley at a studio I was working at a while back.

Re: Spotted Around Town
1914 Ford spotted in Ventura, CA..
Up graded rear breaks, (Larry Kluss's Company even make breaks for this Ford which Very Cool and Safe.)
Upgraded with electric starter (1919 bell housing, starter and fly-wheel ring gear, 12 Volt battery in the trunk).......might it be classified as a Hybred since the battery can most likely run the starter and move the car almost as fast *** the engine in 1 gear....LOL...
Rucksford two speed rear differential, wheels were converted to wire wheels instead of the wooden spokes for appearance and safety.
Very Cool Car for sure.

Re: Spotted Around Town
I think a better mod would have been to add brakes where that are missing - to the front.
According to "Any Colour - as Long as It's Black!" the addition of 4 wheel brakes cuts the stopping distance by 50%, now that's a significant improvement, but I am sure not nearly enough to give you confidence to tailgate on the 405.
Given the size of those wheels, he could have opted for the 40" big brake kit
On another sighting, I saw the flat head MG on a tow truck this weekend

Yes, the MG TC with a flathead 60 installed, had his timing gear strip.

Re: Spotted Around Town
Being a 1937 flathead, his timing gear is likely fiber. Apparently it couldn't handle several decades of abuse!

Spotted at Paramount Studios today, a Hillman Minx. I couldn't figure out if someone drove it to work or if it was a picture car. All I know is I haven't seen one in years.
Also, spotted in Santa Monica the other day, a 1986 Toyota Merlot. Love it or hate it, that was a lot of work.
