Greetings

Post by fleshy1 »

Hi everyone. Found the board through Moss' forum site for club events (yes it works.)

I've only been an MG-aholic for 8 months, but have learned magnitudes about my B.

I drive my B to work everyday (40 miles round trip.) and have done all the wrenching myself, with some help from Steve and his beautiful garage :D (Steve that rear diff seal is still hanging in there!)

I want to be more involved with British car events in So. Cal. and I hope that this forum will help me plan ahead so I can attend.

Fun fact: I get to park in the Petersen Automotive Museum garage every day.

Here's a short YouTube vid that I made of my MGB:

Hey Eric, good to hear from you! And I'm glad the B is doing well. Too bad you didn't make the run yesterday, it was great. Maybe we'll see you at the Independence Run?

Fun video too, thank for sharing. You definitely have the best parking location in the world! What was that red thing with the swept rear fenders? Very cool!

Independence Day sounds like a possibility, see planning ahead already!

The car in the video is a former land speed record car. It's powered by a jet engine and has solid aluminium wheels! There is a long pointed cone at the front of the car for air intake. It's like a fighter plane without wings!

I'm one of two MG drivers that park there every day. The other is a nice looking MGA with disc wheels, seems to be missing the speedo, but otherwise it looks great. Nice to see it being driven every day.

Don't think for a moment you're getting out of here without posting a photo or two of that jet car. :P
