Cool shot. Is that near Mormon Rocks?

it's Vasquez Rocks Park out near Agua Dulce, about an hour from downtown LA. They filmed a bunch of old movies and "Star Trek" episodes there.

Here is my Morgan +8 under reconstruction. My 1970 MGB is in the background and '65 MGB Vintage racecar on the lift to the left. Under the race car is a '78 MGB slated for a V8 installation.

The shop is a mess, but it's getting tidier bit by bit.

Figured it would be there or at Mormon, they are geologically related, still a cool photo even though William Shatner isn't in it :P

How much are they running these days? I don't think I'd be interested in a fully restored one, just one that's in drive able condition.

Nice shot Jim!

I saw a beautiful Elan in Park City yesterday. It was surrounded (almost) by 100+ MGs.

Kelvin, I know you have more cars than that! ;)

I've seen prices all over the place, so it is hard to really say, but they have been going up lately. A project car can be between $10-15k I think. A driver around $15-18k. A good one $20-30k

Mine is for sale for $1 million dollars

Okay, I know this thread is a bit old, but I wasn't around then. So, here is my modest (by some standards) stable...

From left to right:
'67 MGB...owned since '81, recently restored
'01 XJ8...owned 2 months, replaced Lincoln Mark VIII
'74 Nova...family owned since '79, Daily driver

I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to put that E-type I'm dreaming about???

Make that family owned since new on the Nova. I've been driving it since '79...

Interesting treatment on the headlamps by the previous owner, Cliff. It kind of looks sleepy and drunk!

Post by TEAM ROSBIF »

This is just before pulling the engine, the next project is peeking out from the garage, a 1966 E Type.

I tried to post a picture of the car, finally think I figured it out and made the file small enough to send.
This is a couple of years ago before engine came out and overall refurbishment.
cheers

Bob - I've seen your TR4, it's gorgeous! Didn't know you had the E-type also. Look forward to seeing it in person some time.

Morgan - Great car! Hope to see it soon.

Team Rosbif - Is the MGA an original works car? Do you only vintage race the MGA or do you drive it on the street too? What condition is your E-type in? Are you in So Cal?
