Well I guess I should throw a Midget in the mix. Here's my '73. This picture was taken at California (AAA) Speedway at a VARA race. At the lunch break you can pay $20 and go out on the track for about a half hour. Note the 911 (could be a 912 I guess) behind me, it never got past me but, then again ..... your not allowed to pass!

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
Here is a shot of our 1929 chandler model 65 after I restored the wheels. This was the last year Chandler sold cars and all there are few survivors. I plan to repair what needs to be done to get here back on he road after 40 plus years of storage. So much on this car is original that I am being careful o preserve it rather than restore it.

MGB v8 in The Netherlands
Hi,
First to say that Steve has a wonderful website....
I found Steve via MGnuts.com... found this again... wonderfull afternoon as I am home (sick).
I drive an MGB v8 (3500), RV8-exhaustsystem, Edelbrock carb, Offenhauser manifold and faster cams.
It drives over 200 km/hr... a real bastard with about 200 bhp.
My hobbie is MG-MG-MG and my family and am rebuilding my V8 into a new body as this one is an accident body. new body will be Midnightblue and MGC-bonnet with louvres because of the heatproblem in the summer in the city.....
regards,
Jelle from The Netherlands
See my movie's:
If you have one minute time, see this movie how to build a v8 in one minute !!!

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
Pics of my 1968 Riley Elf MkIII which serves as my daily driver.
For those that don’t know, the Elf is essentially a Mini except that it has a rear boot with mini tail fins. The front also differs as the grill is smaller and attached to the hood which makes working on the engine real fun!
Riley Elfs and Wolseley Hornets (which are practically Identical) were BMC's attempt to cash in on their more upmarket Marques. They typically incorporated new developments such as rolling windows and internal hinges a few years prior to them being introduced to the Mini.
The first pic shows the condition of the car when I bought it. The second is its temporary but current state.

Nice looking Elf! We have a blue one that frequents the holiday runs. There are some photos of it at the bottom of THIS PAGE. That car always surprises me how well it can keep up with more powerful cars in the hills.

I would like to post a picture of my ride! 1979 MGB Chrome Conversion. Most of the work was done by Darren's MG and the paint was done by HP Body Shop. I did a lot of directing and decision making.

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
There are some great rides in this thead! I realized that, although having been a member for several months, I have not yet posted a picture of my 1967 Volvo 1800S. Maybe this is because when I joined things were more strictly British around here . In any case, here she is along Highway 1 en route to last August's Monterey Weekend...

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
A lot of people (including me) consider the P1800 an honorary Brit car anyway since so many were manufactured by the Brits! No insult intended. Now we need to get the other Volvo guys to post up photos of their rides!
The car looks great by the way, and nice choice of routes to Monterey.

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
Let me add compliments on this fantastic site ! Since I do not have any 'posed' shots of my car since owning for about a year and a half, (still getting it just right), thought that I would throw up a picture of her in the barn ; not the best home, but; that should be changing soon.

I like the picture in the barn, even with the hood up. The photo has a nice feel to it. And that's one sharp-looking car! I'm curious what red you used.

I must confess, though, that I've often thought I was only one parts order away from having my car "just right." This has turned out to be more elusive that I expected. I wonder if anyone ever really gets there!

Not me! I seem to age my cars faster than I can restore them.

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
Not sure of the color red used and that is not the first time I've had to admit that! It is from a 8yr. old restoration, and is as purchased. The barn is my 'temporary' shop, (notice the dozer tracks in the 'fines'). We have a grand shop planned, thought the barn has been a tremendous asset with alot of 'projects'. It is our only structure in the 'country'. Should mention that the hood is open in the picture for other that repair, I like lookin' in there! Thanks for the complements, we are looking forward to some drivin' this summer.
