British car open house: July 15 @ 9:00 AM

Post by Westfield 11 »

I will be hosting an open house on Sunday morning July 15 for all British car enthusiasts @ my shop. I will have my Westfield 11 kit on display for all to see and I hope to get a good look at some nice LBC's.

The shop is on Reseda Blvd between the 101 and Ventura Blvd behind Mr. MB Motors and across from Gelsons. I will fly a Union Jack at the driveway to help you find it.

There is parking for 20+ cars. I will roll up the doors @ 9:00 AM (it gets pretty hot by noon) and will stay until the last car drives away. I wonder if it should be a coffee and donut sort of thing with maybe a drive up Mullholland to the Rock Store for lunch if anyone is interested later.

Sounds like an enjoyable day. I will try to bring my MGTC. Will have just gotten back from GOF at Park City, Utah, and if the car is still in one piece I will be there. (Also if the driver is still in one piece and didn't suffer heat stroke)
Thanks,
Lloyd

Sounds like a great day to me too. It appears there will be a very nice assortment of British cars coming as usual and I will bring my Mini to join in on the day's fun.

Sounds like fun. We'll be there, Faith will still be sporting Park City dust and bugs though.

Ugh!! It appears the Lotus won't be done in time :x

There is a chance I might show up with a German though, if that's ok

fine with me... I'm trying to get my friend with a 914 to go too.

On a side note, it doesn't look like I'll have my Saab Shelby wheels on my car by this weekend. Still have to 'customize' a set of center caps to go on them, in addition to tires... Maybe I'll bring one along just for giggles.

I used the business address where we turn in the driveway to get to the parking lot behind it where the Open House is located.

Mr. MB Motors is listed as 5557 Reseda Blvd. in Tarzana.

See you all there. I even put on my front license plate in case there is a run to the Rock Store. I read and saw on TV that they are cracking down on the no-front plate cars cruising thru the canyons so now was the time to finally get it done.

Thanks to Westfield 11 for hosting the meet 'n' greet at his assembly booth today. Coffee, donuts and car talk, what a combo. Here is a together Westfield for reference. Good way to get attention at the Promenade, I hear.

And here am I with my blue B. I am jughead, for those who asked. Couldn't quite remember at the time.

I didn't get to drive it, but it rode like a vintage go cart. And I mean that in the best possible way!

I was actually thinking about buying one after that. Then I remembered I don't have any money.

I had a really good time meeting everyone.

Stewart and I went for a drive up Angeles Crest afterwards, and had a great time up there too. I wish more could have gone. When we got to the end of the highway (part of it is still closed apparently) this is the view we were greeted with:
