Well you've certainly got me beat on that one, but could you please let us know if there are any warm answers yet. I'm aching to know, or have some more revealing clues.

Mike and Steve got that one, but recall that I was looking for the Make and Model. The correct answer is Ford GT40. Steve gets 3 points and Mike gets the same.

Score are:

Steve - 8
Malcolm - 5
Mike - 8
Larry - 4
Tyson - 2
Tanny - 2

And from a little farther away the '67 Ford that sold for $2.8M looks like this.

Next one will be worth 10 points.

Good point. Mike and Steve both get the full 5 points. The best excuse I can come up with is the weather related. Framing and working on the roof wasn't the easiest way to stay cool today.

Steve - 10
Malcolm - 5
Mike - 10
Larry - 4
Tyson - 2
Tanny - 2

That depends...who won? If it is indeed an Elite, it was a bit of a guess. The car appears to be a small coupe, RHD (British), with 50's-60's window molding, appears to have a sloped back window but no hatch line. So I looked up some photos of my guess and confirmed an Elite as a likely possibility.
Am I right?

You are indeed correct, yes it is indeed a Lotus Elite. Excellent job, but not the reason I expected. The shot through the back window is revealing, not for the trim, nor the scale of the molding which would indicate a small car, but for the protruding Chapman strut shock tower. A car with out a metal chassis is a technological milestone.

I am factoring in the fact that you have know me for 43 years and are filtering your guesses by what you think I would likely photograph. Next time I will confuse you.

With Larry's impressive 10 points, scores are as follows:

Steve - 10
Malcolm - 5
Mike - 10
Larry - 14
Tyson - 2
Tanny - 2

Another 10 pointer is coming... Hang tight.

I honestly didn't recognize the shock tower, though knowing your taste in cars did cross my mind. Hey, nothing in the rules about using all of my knowledge. I need all the help I can get going up against some very knowledgable car people on this forum. Besides, I blew it on the Jaguar E-type photo.

The USA plate would indicate someone who is proud of their heritage, so the manufacturer plate was probably issued to Shelby, and the car is probably an AC Shelby Cobra, or an AC Ace.

This one goes to Malcolm. California manufacturer plates are issued based on the last thee numbers, so in this case 013 was assigned to Shelby. The first series of numbers letter combinations 1A, 1B, etc are unique to the plate and can be reassigned to any of the manufacturer's vehicles. I think there were something like 78 plates issued to Shelby. 1-Z through 3-Z, but records are open to discussion.

This was on a 65 427 Cobra raced by Bob Bondurant and on display in feature tent at the Historics last month.

Seen here with a good amount on patina (which is a good thing).

How about an easy 10 pointer...

Not a lot of car, but lots of clues.

Just the make and model, of the car, not the shoes.
