The first series of numbers letter combinations 1A, 1B, etc are unique to the plate and can be reassigned to any of the manufacturer's vehicles. I think there were something like 78 plates issued to Shelby. 1-Z through 3-Z, but records are open to discussion.

This was on a 65 427 Cobra raced by Bob Bondurant and on display in feature tent at the Historics last month.

Seen here with a good amount on patina (which is a good thing).
Dean, In all fairness I believe Mark E deserves partial credit for getting the vehicle correct?

Thanks Larry. Good catch.

After lengthy deliberations, the staff has agreed to award Mark E the equivalent of one point for each classic unmodified liter shown in his profile as illustrated in this calculation.

1966 Jaguar 4.2L + 1958 Morgan 2.0L = 6.2 points.

Adjusted scores are as follows:

Steve - 10
Malcolm - 15
Mike - 10
Larry - 14
Mark E - 6.2
Tyson - 2
Tanny - 2

Results from the photo with very little car are in and it is indeed a Ferrari F40.

Here is the Ferrari staging for its auction time at RM.

Mike wins the full 10 points, and Leif gets partial credit (F50-F40 = 10/2= 5points). This puts Leif on the board (cheers) and Mike in first place (for now)...

Mike - 20
Malcolm - 15
Larry - 14
Steve - 10
Mark E - 6.2
Leif - 5
Tyson - 2
Tanny - 2

Next one is worth 15 points.

I think most Speedster seats had two openings , not three. I am leaning towards a Fiat Abarth or Zagato .

I was all set to provide another clue, then Tanny comes though with the right answer. Very impressive. It is indeed an Austin Healey 100S. Total production is believed to be 55. This one was shot at the Historics.

It sure looks like a Corvette, '56 or '57 based on the color and single headlights. Now, being that fuzzy, it could be something else, too.

This is indeed a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette. Color was probably the biggest clue, although I thought the blurry shot would make it nearly impossible to pin down.

Here is a shot in the clear.

Mike is jumping way into the lead taking all 15 points with his correct 1956 Chevrolet Corvette answer. Larry and Steve (equiprx) earn partial credit ('56 x 10% = 5.6 points).

Mike - 35
Larry - 19.6
Tanny - 17
Malcolm - 15
Steve - 10
Mark E - 6.2
Steve (equiprx) - 5.6
Leif - 5
Tyson - 2

I'll leave the next one out there for at least 24 hours. All fully correct answers, not just the first one, will receive 15 points.

Shifting away from styling clues to stop and go parts, for 15 points the make, model and corner where this attaches. Good luck.

EDIT: Duh, I wasn't thinking. MGA twin cams have disc brakes, and look different. That's what I get for looking on a cell phone. :hammer:
