Post 'em if you got 'em!
Today was the biggest automobile gathering I've ever seen! In fact I think this is the first time that Supercar Sunday was bigger than Cars & Coffee. If you know the area, imagine cars parked across the entire complex from Taco Bell on one side to McDonald's on the other. There were even cars in the next lot over from the shopping complex!
Normally everyone is leaving by 10AM but there was still a steady stream of cars coming in at 10:30, filling the spots of those leaving. When I left at just after 11AM there were still hundreds of cars parked. I have no idea how many cars came through, but I wonder if it reached the magic 1,000 mark?
Larry Kluss brought his MG Works recreation along with a friend in his Austin Healey dressed as a race car, and I brought the MGC GTS. We met at 7AM and managed to park them together. Five minutes later there were no parking spots left in the main lot! At least we kept "Team BMC" together for the morning show.
I've uploaded 4 pages (160 photos) here: http://www.socalbritishmotoring.com/sup ... nday72907/
Here is a sampling of the British contingent...

There were a bunch of Minis. A group of three pulled in, and I tried to find them. But they disappeared! Either they were too small to spot in the crowd or the left after finding no parking. I wanted to get some photos but I never saw them again. There are a couple others in the photo gallery that I did manage to get.

Great photos Steve. It was definately worth getting up early for and parking the cars together. They got a good deal of attention...being unique compared to the run-of-the-mill Lambos and Ferraris everywhere!
It was the largest group of cars I've seen in one place this side of the Monterey Historics. I can't believe is was simply a cruise morning...very impressive!!! I would recommend any car enthusiast to see for themselves.
I was thinking I saw easily $25 millon worth of cars this morning...

The first thing that popped to mind when I saw that red E-type photo was....GUMBALL. Classic shot. Excellent photos.
I also could not believe the turnout. A thousand cars is not an unrealistic estimate, and a $100M would be my guess.
It was a little out of control when we headed out. The "film" crew stationed at the parking lot exit seemed to be encouraging an exciting departure. Fun to watch, but wish there was more self-control...
Let's hope the local residents, owners and shops don't rise up and shut it down.
Hope to go again,
Dean

The burnouts really need to be controlled. I'm surprised the police aren't doing anything about it, considering how many of them are not only patrolling, but attending the event.
As for residents, there aren't many in the immediate area. And I would think the businesses within the shopping center must love it, except perhaps for the supermarket but who goes there early Sunday morning anyway? The hair salon (as seen in the photos) even has a car show special... $10 off a haircut!
