Almost looks like the top end of an old acetylene generator.

Good job Martin,What brand of beer do you like. I thought someone might notice the date or know a little French.
I was an ancient electric vacuum pump with an oil gauge etc hung on it.

Thanks for the offer of beer Olson but I am just lucky. Maybe a coffee on one of the fun runs.

Sorry Mark not even close on the make of auto. Yes it is an automotive radiator just so you know.

So I guess the collective group is stumped on the radiator.
Well it is from a 1936 Desoto Airflow.
Yep the photo was snapped at Wellwood Auto Restoration in Ventura
Thanks Dave for letting me take the photo.

I have no clue but must say that is an interesting engine design with the external push rods and individual valve covers.

Actually this is an American Engine if that helps and if you look you will see an oil can on the fire wall which is used to add oil to each rocker arm cap and pushrods in the little hole as they are all exposed and not covered. If this was your car you would be stopping about every 10 to 15 miles to either fix a tire or to oil the mechanicals from what I was told. You also have to remember that you would most likely have a driver if this was your vehicle when it was new.
It sure did capture my attention when I took the photos.

I've seen an engine exactly like this but I just can't place it. I'll keep thinking.

Well Whitebuffalo you have the correct make but not the model.
It is a 1959 Appia Berlina with the V4 engine.
