Y'all don't need me to say let's have a run, but ok let's have a run! And here's the copy and paste...
Greetings fellow classic car enthusiasts!
The 2016 2017 Independence Run is coming! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 4 and bring your driving shoes to Malibu.
This “fun run” is a 65-mile drive through a variety of mountain and canyon roads. Most of the run travels easy mountain roads, while other sections (especially the first leg) range from moderately twisty to vomit-inducing.
For the less adventurous drivers (and passengers) in the group, there are ample detours should anyone prefer a less twisty route to our two regrouping stops. The first leg of the route is probably not good for passengers who are susceptible to car sickness, but there is a scenic detour to avoid it and meet the group on the road.
Come join your friends (and make a few new ones) this July 4th at the Vintage Motoring Independence Run!
The when and where: Meet at the Malibu Colony Plaza located at 23841 West Malibu Road, at the southwest corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Webb Way, approximately 12 miles north / west from where I-10 turns into PCH.
Meeting time is 8:45 AM with rollout at 9:30 AM.

Woo hoo! I'll be there. It'll be good to see people I haven't seen for a long time and new people too.

Re: 7/4/2017 Run ?
Here you go Nate.
Not a big group this year. 7 brave souls. This t-shirt make me want to buy a TC just to get the shirt. This is the new location to stop at since they won't let us park at the Overlook. It's pretty dirty and there is a good dip at the driveway to get in. On the upside though there are Andy Gump's. The route was changed slightly so that we could go to lunch. Here is Dean and Donna leaving for lunch. We ate at the Habit. The food was good time was nice the temperature wasn't too bad outside. You can view the rest of the photos at my Google Photos page.

I didn't take many photos but here are a couple. When's the last time you saw some punk kid driving a Healey 3000?
Also, the graphic on the shirt is actually the header from a 1958 TCMG newsletter. I added the wording below as tribute to a well-known TC book.
