It kind of amazes me that he opens that place to the public, considering the risk of theft and damage. But I love that he does it.

my understanding is that to have your collection defined as a museum, you have to have some number of public days, and that defining your collection as a museum has tax benefits that are significant.

Not at all judging, I think it's awesome he does it, but a friend of mine had worked for Mullin and explained that that was really the reason he had the museum rather than just a collection ina warehouse.

That sounds right, I've heard the same thing about museum status. He could always charge admission and do guided tours I suppose.

I was at Malamut earlier this year...impressive collection, worth the visit.

I was surprised to see come cars I'd known decades ago in there .
