Re: 2019 July 4th Run
Well I was planning to go but I'm coating someone else's garage floor and clear coat was supposed to be today and second coat tomorrow. The humidity slowed the cure so I have to do the clear tomorrow and second coat Thursday. Crap.

Re: 2019 July 4th Run
I could have stopped by to help on my way to Moss, but decided to order online instead. Darn, I so would have loved to paint your floor, too.
Looking great! Curious what you did with the concrete around the lift base. I'm getting ready to fill mine in finally.

Re: 2019 July 4th Run
Had an aluminum diamond plate cover made with welded spacers. The perimeter of the concrete pit had wood bolted to the sides and then the plate screwed down into the wood.

Re: 2019 July 4th Run
So you poured the concrete right up to the lift base then. I'm assuming you left a thick lip around the edge of the concrete so it didn't get too thin. I have steel diamond plate over mine, but it covers the whole thing. Yours is cleaner for sure but since my floor was already painted, there would be a big seam. So my diamond plate is twice the size of yours. The only thing I don't like about the diamond plate is that it's a lot harder to clean oil off of than a smooth surface.
