I would love to get together for a drive. I've been away for months in Az. so my Westfield 11 isn't done, but I have a new smart cabrio I need to put some miles on.
I know it's not British, in fact, it's FRENCH!!!
Well, designed by MB, but assembled in France. But with 2 seats, 70hp and a 5-speed it's almost a Sprite, sorta......

It's Mr. Westfield! Good to hear from you. I was wondering just the other day how your project was coming along. We're going to need another open house when you reach the next stage of the build!
Sunday might work out for me but I'm not sure yet. We're putting in a new furnace on Friday so hopefully it will be done by then. It's freeeezing in this house!

You can show up at night if you want.
To get a good spot you need to be early. I've been told that it is busy every sunday now. Will probably hang out until 9-10 before cruising.
Just throwing it out there as an option....

It's an informal drive-in , happening every Sunday, with the last Sunday of the month being the "big one". Several hundred cars pack the parking lot on those days. Meet in the parking lot of the shopping center at Mulholland Drive and Calabasas Road. It's right off the 101 freeway at the Valley Circle / Mulholland Drive exit, on the southeast corner. You can't miss it.

Sounds like Sunday will be a fun day for you guys, but with the Lakers playing at 12:30, I will be watching that. I can go on rides any day.
I am leaving at 10AM this morning to go on the last section of a long fun drive I have been piecing together for the near future for any others that are interested in seeing some new and very fun roads. I'm always looking for new roads to explore and although I have been running these roads for decades up here in the Ventura/Santa Barbara counties area, I'm pretty sure most of the members on this forum have never had the pleasure of these great roads.
I will start another thread about this run after I get back today and explain the route so that you can get on Google Maps or Google Earth and use the satellite view to see just how much fun is awaiting those who want to see some new roads.
Have fun tomorrow. I will be having fun in less than an hour from now and have the camcorder all charged up and ready to go.

Great stuff as usual! I love the pic of the Elan and the Maserati. It makes the Elan look so small! What people don't realize is that the Maserati is a ginormous beast!
I also really like the yellow Porsche engine cover, the split window Corvette and the F40 fin.
I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

True, but the 911 on the other side dwarfs the Elan tooSteve Simmons wrote:Great stuff as usual! I love the pic of the Elan and the Maserati. It makes the Elan look so small! What people don't realize is that the Maserati is a ginormous beast!
