Supercar Sunday 2-25-07

Despite the threat of rain, today was the biggest turnout I've seen. Hundreds of cars filling the entire complex. There were cars across the street because they couldn't find anywhere to park.

The show stopper for me today was a Jaguar XK racer. Simply beautiful! An honorable mention goes to the MG TD Special. It had a blown V6 engine, MGB front suspension (I think) and front cycle fenders that turn with the wheels. Very nice! Best presentation in my opinion was the classic Bentley with champaign and Hors D'oeuvres, complete with Grey Poupon. Most extravagant engine has got to go to a heavily modified Nova.

The British contingent was a bit weak as usual but not too shabby - perhaps 15-20 cars including MG, Mini, Lotus, Jaguar, Morgan, Triumph, Rolls Royce and Bentley. But the Prowler club must have made a showing because there were easily 20 of them.

Here are a few photos just to get a taste of the event. The full set of 150 photos (on 3 pages) is here: http://www.socalbritishmotoring.com/supercarsunday22507
