Machinist near alhambra/pasadena?

Post by Fifty Six MGA »

I want to get the head on my MGA magnafluxed to check for cracks, and some other work done. Anyone have a recommendation for a machinist?

Near Alhambra/Pasadena would be easiest, but I'm willing to travel for the right shop.

Need to get this done so I can join the July 4th drive!

I used Bob's Machine Shop in La Canada. They did work on my MGB and my father-in-law's 1934 MG PA. I am very happy with their work.

The only shop I've had do magnaflux recently was R.D. Machine in Chatsworth. He's done plenty of MG heads including two of mine (MGB and TC) as well as the machining work for my flathead. If you want to drive a bit farther and want his contact info let me know and I'll dig it up.
