Machine Shop Recommendation?

Post by Steve Simmons »

I need a simple job done to an XPAG head (MG TC). Any recommendations west of the San Fernando Valley? Oxnard perhaps?

Update: Also need flywheel machining and balancing.

Thanks, I have a machine shop in the valley already but I was hoping for something on this side. One thing I miss about where I used to live was the unlimited supply of machine shops, parts stores, welders, painters, etc. Out here there is literally nothing.

Dave, It looks like The Balance Shop in Reseda may still be in business. I used them many years ago.

Called Ron Williams and he was very hesitant about doing the things I was talking about. Maybe that's a good thing, as it means he's honest. Said he would take a look if I want. Unfortunately he can't do the flywheel work I need though.

Hi Steve,

Try this place.

1st Point Mechanical Design & Fabrication
2225 1st St # 107, Simi Valley, CA 93065

We use this shop at work and the owner is very good. If he can not due it he will tell you that and he might know who can do what you need.
Hope this helps.
