exhaust fabricator

Post by TEAM ROSBIF »

Hello everyone,
hi Steve, was wondering if you knew of a good exhaust shop who can fabricate a bigger bore pipe and straight through box for the MGA Twin Cam. Hopefully somewhere in the valley or west side in Los Angeles.

cheers

Hi Mark, I've used a shop in Chatsworth to do work on four of my M.G.s. He's an old school one man operation and hand forms everything while you tell him where you want the bends.

Chatsworth Muffler
21640 Devonshire St
Chatsworth, CA 91311
(818) 700-0611

He works on appointments so give him a call before driving there. Good luck!

PS... post some photos of that Twin Cam in the "Post a picture of your ride" thread!

Hi Steve, thanks so much for the tip on Richard at Chatsworth muffler, he was great and we designed a beautiful exhaust system. Got the car running, it sounds good, but noticed that since its been sitting for 9 years, the brake master cylinder has stuck. So I hauled both clutch and brake master cylinders to be rebuilt and re sleeved, a messy job but luckily the car had dot 5 put in in England.
Still waiting for the original SU pump to be rebuilt by Burlen UK, but in the meantime running with a temporary pump. Next I have to install the seats, seat belts and take it to the CHP to be inspected for US registration.
thats the latest

cheers

Mark

I use Keith @Advance Muffler on Walnut , East of Lake a few blocks .

he's a ' unique ' individual but willingly does all the oddball custom stuff I ask and is very reasonable on pricing too .

He recently deleted the muffler on my Mercedes Coupe and installed a whole 3" system , new resonator etc. , telling me I'm crazy the entire time but the Diesel engine loves it and revs faster now , runs cooler too .

Lots of fun stories and ideas whilst he's under your car with torch in hand too .
