decent tire shop near Monrovia

Post by gorms68 »

I just got a deal on a set of Pirelli P4s for my MGB. Now I need to find a shop that can carefully mount them on my tubeless Daytons. Any recommendations out there? I have a feeling most shops will frown when they see I already bought my tires and my not be able to handle wire wheels.

How "near Monrovia" does it need to be? Valley Wire Wheel is in North Hollywood and obviously (by the name alone) can handle the job.

Closer would be nice, but I am open to any recommendations at this point. The timing is really good as I need to get the car in a position to move if these fires come over the hills. I saw on the map last night that they are already behind the mountains here now :( Certainly enough smoke and ash to validate that!

I'm out of town, but if you need somewhere safe to dump the car, you can take it to my place. There's also Chatsworth Tire but they're even farther away.

I sure hope you'll luck out with the fire situation, Chris.
In baseball, running into someone is apparently a "collision".
But doing the same thing in a car somehow makes it an "accident".

thanks guys I hope so too. If things get real bad I have a gated parking lot at work that I can put the cars in for now. It's here in Monrovia, but further from the hills!

Well I found a great shop here in Monrovia, Huntington Tire and Auto. They were the shop that took the tires off my old rims. Great guys over there and they did a real nice job at a fair price. Highly recommended!
