FREE 14" MGB Wire Wheels

Post by VWNate1 »

Decent splines , poor paint , some have tires mounted .

I bought these so I could keep driving my GT whilst re-finishing the original wire wheels , now they're not needed and I cannot bear tossing them into the scrap bin so please come take one (for a spare) or all of them .

Pasadena area .

Hi Nate. I would love one as a spare. I'll be in the Pasadena area on Sunday. Send me an email if you would.

Nate, I'm sure there's a darn good reason why you go to Death Valley all the time, even in the Summer. That reason however eludes me! :?

I hope you have AC in that old truck!

Well ;

I guess you have to be there to understand it............. :P

The truck has original , factory fitted AC that works LIKE NEW ! 2/60 AC that is

I like riding a Moto there best of all , they had a 100 year bloom there a couple years ago after terrible rains that washed away many roads , campsites and cars etc. . I rode my old 1969 Honda 90 .

Crossing the Panamint Valley @ 35 miles an hour , allows one to really see ~ miles of wildflowers , desert tortoises , rattle snakes , rabbits, butterflies , on and on.....

The desert fascinates me and keeps calling me back year after year .

This is the hottest part of the year and a heat wave is predicted , plus grenaded AC compressor on my old Mercedes (dang GM R-4 junk) so I will of course not take SWMBO's pristine , white sedan with ice cold , R-12 AC :hammer:

It'll be fun , you'll see ! :pimp:

Road time is always good , I go anywhere at most anytime and have fun , even when doing road side mtce. on someone else's junk .

Nate, if you'd like to see rabbits, please come over to my place. Even though it's stupid-hot here right now (91 degrees), they're still bopping around early morning and late evening.
As for rattle snakes, the only one I can guarantee you'll be able to see is the one I shot last night.
There are some butterflies (and regular ones, of course), but you'd have to bring your own flowers (only some straggling poppies here) and tortoises.
Turtle soup and beer, perhaps, after we've fixed some of my junk?

Oh, and be sure to bring a wire wheel, or two. Spare parts are our friend.

In baseball, running into someone is apparently a "collision".
But doing the same thing in a car somehow makes it an "accident".

I was there! It was really amazing seeing people kayaking at Badwater. :wtf:

I've crossed the Panamint Valley at 15 MPH during a bicycle endurance race, but I was riding in a van as mechanic. It was Winter so we had the windows down and no AC. I can't imagine doing that during the Summer. I do enjoy the desert though, especially the geology.
