FREE - MGB Aluminum Hood, Needs Work - SOLD

Post by Larry Kluss »

'62-'80? Aluminum MGB hood (bonnet). This is the original hood from my '67 MGB. I hate to scrap it out, but they are expensive to replace and I thought perhaps someone with good metal working skills might want to save it. It suffered from a "flip-open", so there is some distortion in the hinge area, however no cracking that I can see. The outer skin is pretty good with some minor denting (and a little bondo) only near the front. I actually wish I had fixed it rather than get a reproduction that doesn't fit right. It's FREE if anyone wants it, just come pick it up.

Don't scrap it! If no one picks it up then maybe I can offer it to my body man who could surely fix it and then sell to the next MGB that rolls in. Hopefully someone here needs one and has the skills to repair the damage.

I'm willing to give it a shot at fixing it, Larry.
After all, if I fail miserably, you can always have it back, right?
In baseball, running into someone is apparently a "collision".
But doing the same thing in a car somehow makes it an "accident".

Yeah, right. I'm confident you can repair it...it's really not all that bad. Let me know when you want to get it.
Thanks, Larry
