I am looking for the front section of a Sprite / Midget / Bugeye front floor pan. I only need the front section from the box frame forward, the main section of the floor where the seat mounts is solid still. Fabricating the indentation on the original floors is proving to be a challenge for my meager metal working skills.
Specifically, I am looking for #8 from the tip to where it meets #9.
If you can get the whole floor pan that is what I would buy as you can then cut what you need to replace from it and insure you have enough material to fix the pan correctly.
Better to have more than not enough material when fixing a pan is my belief.

I agree that running short of metal is a bad thing!
The second engine lasted a total of 66.4 miles and I have not pulled it apart to see why it lost oil pressure. The third engine is doing very well and is running like a top. I fell it is stronger than the first engine in many ways. It now has about 800 miles on it and a couple of auto-x's so I am sure it's a good engine.
