1967 MGB GT for sale. This is a project that was stalled by the last owner and probably will not be finished by us. As you can see in the pictures this is a early model that does not have those square back up lights that some people will go to great expense to cover up. There is no rust to be found anywhere in the car. The previous owner must have done all the bodywork to get it ready for paint. As it sits right now the car is in primer except for the engine compartment and interior. Both were nicely painted in red which should be a close match for the original Tartan Red this car was from new. We have the Heritage Certificate to go with the car. The PO even installed a new cloth waring harness and labeled all the ends that still need to be hooked up like, lights, horn, etc. As you can see in the pictures the dash has been completely restored just as it would have been from new.
We have done a few things in the years we have owned it including rebuilding the original radiator and upgrading it with a better USA made core, rebuilt the brakes and added SS hoses, and found a rear seat that has the correct black with red piping. We planned to rebuild the front seats in black leather w/ red piping when done, just never got to it.
The engine has not been started since we bought the car. It is not the original motor for the car judging by the numbers, but appears to be at least a complete period correct engine. It has good compression and turns free. It will be up to the future owner whether it gets get a fresh coat of paint or a full rebuild.
The transmission is the stock 3 speed that would have come with the car. As the engine has not been fired we do not know the condition of it. Based on the condition of the rest of the parts I would guess it was ready to go.
Much of the front suspension was rebuilt and on most places updated with poly bushes from England like we have and love on our 1966 roadster.
The car came to us with plenty of parts in boxes that will go to the next care taker of this GT. Some of the missing items include carpet, headliner, and some interior bits that are all available from Moss and others and should be selected by the new owner anyway to fit their build.
This is a great opportunity to purchase what we feel is the most desirable and collectable MGB GT. We are asking $4,500 and I don't think you will find another project GT at a similar value. Listed here first.
Also have a spare hatch with the defrost window and another AL hood that can be purchased fro the car.

Re: 1967 MGB GT
You're gonna regret this one! But I know what's the replacement is, so I figure you'll get over it pretty quickly. Then again, this one is a much easier restoration.
Someone is going to get a great project. I'd be interested myself if I didn't already have one like it.
