Cleaning out Storage Space and have MGB Parts

Post by Martin Keller »

Ok all of you MGB owners I have some parts [USED] that I do not need to keep any more due to not having an MGB or car that can use the spare parts that I have kept as a reserve in case I needed them.
Here is a short list so if you need something send me a PM and I will let you know if I have what you need.
Four Speed Transmission still mounted to the engine. came out of a 74. [Now at Steve's]
A couple water pumps in fair shape.
Engine push-rod covers front (flat) and back (with breather).
Electric Fan for radiator that works.
Thermostat housings.
Radiator bulkhead for an MGB. Not bent or rusted.

Maybe I will get some photos and post them.

If you need it let me know otherwise it will most likely end up going to the scrap guy as I do not want to store it or keep it any longer.
Getting closer to giving it to the scrap guy so if you need it let me know soon.

Oops ~ kinda late here .

If you're tossing it , I'll happily take the cylinder head as I have an 1800 engine that needs one .

Let me know and i'll trot on out the The valley and grab it soon .

I could also use an early rubber seal timing cover and pulley as the dripping from the old felt seal ring is annoying .

TIA ,

Nate the head is already spoken for. You can have the timing chain cover off the block I have if you want to take the block and trans that is attached to it. It is on a stand that rolls if that helps.

Hi Steve,
Not giving it all away but I don't need the block or the trans and if someone can use it or part of it and wants to come get it I would be glad to have it out of my garage. So you and Nate can fight over it or I have been known to take a case of beer in trade for things.

If someone has a need then that's where the parts should go. But if no one takes it then I'm happy to give it a home. I just hate to see potentially useful parts end up in a recycling yard!

Hi Nate and Steve,
Maybe I should take the lump to Steve's and the two of you can figure out how to part it out.
Let me know.

Anyone have a dead 1800 engine I'll happily take it away , I need the ancillary things : oil pump and intake screen complete , spin on oil filter etc. ~

I got a three main bearing 1800 and will overhaul it for my beloved Met FHC as soon as I'm able , should be this Summer .

I know someone has a rusty lump sitting in the weeds.....
