TR3/4 Muffler

Up for consideration is a new Moss muffler for a TR3/4. Moss part number 862-000.

I was hoping that I could sneak it under the Warwick, but after fitting, welding and a trip around the block, it is just too low. It won't be a bolt on direct fit back to your TR3/4 as I welded the slip joints. It wouldn't take much to make it work, but it is no longer plug and play.

So what is it worth? Two weeks ago I paid $69 + tax. But there's more. Because I intended to drive the Warwick to Woodley Park and couldn't wait 2 days for UPS, I drove our Range Rover to Moss in Goleta, so that adds another....$80. It get's bad mileage. I had to eat a Habit burger, and since you'll get to keep the extra few feet of 2" tubing I welded to the muffler, we will have to add another $30. I know it is is easy to approach $200 in quantifiable value, so I'll stop adding extras. The real treat is you could own the only TR3/4 center muffler that was tested on a Warwick. There can't be many, and certainly no one else in SoCal can make that claim. If you put this muffler on your TR3/4, you'll know it is unique. If you see another TR3/4 coming down the road, you'll have that inner smug confidence that your muffler has a documented heritage unlike any other.

As you can see, setting a single price point is challenging. RM is coming up in August, but it would be a shame to hold onto it for that long. My preference is to transfer this rich piece of automotive industrial art immediately cash free to new distinguished owner.
