Oh, and I picked up another Mustang project that will look oddly familier as you just scrolled down this thread. Just got wheels for it tonight on the way home from the office. Hoping this one can become a fun driver.

It's Alive!!!!!!! Now it's time to focus on getting it on the ground for a drive around the block.

Brakes are bled.... still need to mount the seat, bleed the clutch, and wire the alternator. Then double check a few things and do a final tune on the motor.

Now to decide on a color...
I may have to drive it to work on Friday.... if the wind dies down by then.

Nice.
So what is the manufacture of the kit you have?
Did you cut and fit all of the aluminum panels?
Is their a reason you switched the exhaust pipes from chrome to black or is that just my imagination.
Can you provide more info on the spec's of your build such as motor, trans, rear dif, shocks etc..
Should be a real hoot to drive. :drive

It's a Factory Five Racing MK3.1 (They just released the MKIV)
No real "cutting" was required to fit the panels although a little trim here and there will help them fit better. They all come pre-fit with many roughly installed.
Good eye... I swapped the pipes from stainless steel because they need some work before they would fit. They require a wedge to get them ligned up correctly and I thought I could mess with the black set later to come up with a different set-up. (we'll see)
Mine was ordered with the IRS, Koni's and I added Wilwood 13" brakes at all four corners. Also have Wilwood's new forged pedals with the bias adjustment knob, Wilwood shorty Master cylinders. Power comes from a 69 351W punched and stroked to 399ci, TrickFlow heads, Demon carb and goes thru a TKO 600 with a Centerforce and Tilton hydro bearing. I found an aluminum rear pumpkin and put in 3.73's.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like a closer look and/or to talk "car". There will be a few of them (weather premitting) at C.J.'s BBQ in Oxnard this Sat from 10:30-1:00 for the TriCounty Cobra's lunch. I'm not going to make it but there are normally at least 10 cars there with as many as forty in the summer.

We're taking it Sunday to the Motor 4 Toys "Toy drive" on Sunday.

Hit a big milestone this weekend.... The Cobra is in living color. Just in time for Christmas.

I've still got a lot of work ahead of me but it's now on the home stretch.

Thanks Martin,
I can hardly wait to get it on the road again. We have a Christmas parade in the neighborhood this Sat which I'd like to have it at least road worthy but it's not looking good. Too much electrical work to do.
I'll post more pogress pics this weekend. :-)
