My current projects are:
1. 1970 Opel GT [yeah, I know, not British, but a pretty cool and sexy car... yeah, that's right, I said sexy!] This car has just been painted - BRIGHT YELLOW!
2. 1962 Morris Minor, what else can I say? It is what it is; a very practical, high MPG car. Oh! and it is right hand drive... again, very sexy!

OPEL UNDER COVER
Hey guys, I have noticed for a while that there is an Opel in Topanga, in a shed by the side of the road. It caught my eye, as its California license plate was OPEL 69.
It looked like a project for someone, always liked the shape of those cars.
cheers
Mark

Short story: many years ago, 25 or 30, I remember seeing an Opel GT on the side of the road, with a 'For Sale' sign on it. I kept passing this car car each day on my way out of Ojai to Ventura. One day I called the number from the sign and spoke with a lady, who I could tell rather quickly by her tone and manner, was a bit confused and hesitant. When I asked about the GT, I was told that she would tell the owner and the owner would get back with me.
I waited and waited, but nothing happened. So I called again and spoke with the same person who assured me she would pass the message along.
To this day I am still waiting for that call.
Damn, I'm a patient person!

Oops! I need to add that the Opel GT was painted by Dave Wellwood, of Wellwood Restorations!
Only if you want first class work done by a consummate professional - take it to Dave's.
The Opel needed some smoothing out and light body work, along with a rear end trim piece that was difficult to fit, and Dave did it all. Not to mention the five layers of yellow paint that were needed in order to get the proper depth.
Hip, Hip, HOORAY!
