1958 MGA Coupe Restoration

Post by kiwimark »

Hi
this is keeping me busy. It is a 1958 MGA coupe. I have fitted a high comp MGB 5 main engine and a 5-speed box as well as a 3.9 pumpkin froman early B. Should scoot along the freeways quite well. Hoped to have it on the road for San Diego British car day but that might be a bit optomistic.

Regards
Mark

Mark, that MGA should really move! Our '58 has a 3-main 1800 with a 3.9 rear end and it's a perfect mate for the car. You really can't tell the difference from stock except for overall power. It looks and sounds the same.

Hi All
there has been a bit of progress on the 58 coupe. Body work has been done and the mineral blue paint is on.

Wow, you're really moving along! I'm not doing nearly as well with my '65B project. Too bad you didn't make SD Brit Car Day but as you said, that was pretty optimistic.
