Of course that doesn't satisfy Malcolm, he's going to put this 1275 in with dual SU carburetors and Midget transmission and rear axel for better highway running.

What do you guys think, should he paint it or leave it with the patina it has and bright red wheels?

Leave it as is and get some lettering on the doors, "Malcolm's LBC Repair".

Nice going, Malcolm! I knew you were looking but I didn't think you'd have one that quickly!

I'd paint it. That isn't what I consider "good" patina. I agree about the lettering on the side, Chris. :)

Hey Malcolm, what's the Riley in the yard?

That's Doug's Riley Elf. I took some pictures of it too, including the Riley competition blue paint on the engine instead of the original olive green. I'm waiting for Doug to give me permission to post the pictures.

That is such a cool pickup! I might have to find myself one now. I saw an Austin A40 Pickup once and it was really awesome, but hadn't seen too many Minor pickups.

Well, under pressure from my wife, I'm probably going to keep the Morris Minor pick up. She doesn't like me to sell my old cars. So I've put it into the garage, and will soon start to dis-assemble it for painting. My plan is to build the 1275 engine for it, with the rib case gearbox, and Midget differential. It already has disc brakes on the front, so It should then be good for the freeway.
