I don't understand how you did that but I like them VERY much ! .

What did you use to polish the crankshaft journals ? I know there are many here wondering what that's all about , I do it too .

Time for an update.

Picked up the head from Bimmerheads last week. They machined new guides, installed new valves and gave the lifters a new surface and polished the crank. Thank you Shant from Bimmerheads.com

The engine went together smoothly.

To set the timing you align all the punch marks on the gears. This sets the fuel cam and a valve cam.

This the fuel pump. I don't know what it says, but it probably translates to "we are proud of this part - don't mess with it"

Nothing is more exciting then vintage Kubota pictures... Spent the morning finishing up the rest of the work to install the loader, change the coolant and oil, install my stickers and ensure we were leak free.

Why did you have to send to England for parts to a U.S. Spec Range Rover?

Malcolm,
The Rover front axle bearing and seal kit is sooooo much cheaper direct from Paddock Spares it is worth the extra few days of waiting and shipping expense. It is just criminal what they charge over here for seals, bearings, bushings and gaskets.

Oh the ride is just perfect now. No high speed shimmy and dead straight tracking.
