I figured at the pace things were going steve would be finishing this one up in his new garage.
The new paint looks great though steve could of thrown a bucket of water on the primer to fool us

Re: 1967 MGB GT Body and paint
The other day I drove the car out of the shop! I didn't bring it home though, for various reasons it's sitting an a relative's garage for a few days. But it's finally out of the shop and I got to drive it so I'm happy.
We spent a bunch of money having the rear window trim restored because you can't buy it new. The glass guy who the shop used spent 4 hours putting the windows in, and bent up the trim. We were not pleased. The shop didn't charge me for the trim restoration or for the glass installation so at least I can now put that money into restoring another used piece and having it installed correctly by someone who isn't an idiot.
I'm bringing the car the rest of the way home this weekend so I'll post a few photos then.

Re: 1967 MGB GT Body and paint
I was waiting to have the car completely done before updating again, but since I've been driving it around in a state of partial assembly I may as well post a teaser photo. I hope to have the rest of it done next weekend so I'll put up some better photos at that point.
Took this one while driving home from work today. Well technically it was while stopped to make a phone call. Some of the missing pieces are quite obvious. Going on recent history, I only need a rear bumper anyway. Not that it did much good...

Re: 1967 MGB GT Body and paint
Well I've been driving the BGT every day for some time now so I guess I should post some "finished" photos. I'm out of town at the moment so all I have are a few crappy cell phone pictures I took before I headed to the airport. I'm pretty happy overall, although there are a few minor things to finish or fix better. The grill to bonnet fit still isn't perfect so I'll be working to close the gap along the top at some point in the future, and the valance has issues which may require it to be repainted. But it's on the road and that's what counts!
For those with keen eyes you may notice a few modifications (all period do-able) that I made during the body restoration process.
