Re: Post a picture of your ride!
Thank you .
Yes , it was bugger-all hard to find because when new , a side mounted spare tire meant you were poorer than dirt and lived far from paved roads ~ you only ordered the side mount so you never had to lie in the mud , in the rain when the cheapo bias - ply tire went flat .
When this truck was new and I lived on the Farm , I'd sooner walk into town than be seen riding in it .
Now of course , it took me months to find it , in TEXAS because none left here on The West Coast that weren't Hot Rodded & ruined .
Too bad you alls were not there to see it run away on The Drive To The Center Of The Earth ~ I was surprised & pleased .

Malcolm's new car. Joy said that since he was retiring he needed a "proper old man's car", so she bought him a Rolls Royce.

Grey Poupon? I'll have to read the instruction book, see where it might be kept.
Nate, I don't understand your sentence.

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
Well my new ride that is a work in progress.
I will post more pictures as I start to get this GT6 back into shape.
All of the drivetrain is already restored just needs the interior finished and paint.
Body is rust free and fairly straight for a 1971 Mark III Triumph GT6. Sure drive nice even though it looks like crap now.

Depends. What kind of Subaru?
They did a nice job tying in modern and retro on the last couple generations of Mustang.

I thought you had seen the subaru before? It was just the base model impreza wagon with 165hp.Steve Simmons wrote:Depends. What kind of Subaru?

I'm really liking the mustang so far. It's actually a lot of fun to drive.

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
I got upgraded to a V6 Mustang at a rental place one time, and I was pretty impressed. Fun to drive. Doesn't meet my needs, can't imagine getting Hazel in and out 5 times a day, and the roof looks poor for carrying kayaks, but certainly a fun car. I can only imagine the higher HP versions are even more fun.
It boggles my mind that for less than 60K, you can get 500HP in a streetable package, stock from the manufacture.
Of course, compared to my diesel VW, most modern cars seem pretty fun to drive.

That's a great photo. Is that your Dad and Pete going at it or did you get a chance to drive?

I know who that masked man is! Gotta love pre-war M.G.s. Six cylinders in a row, as they should be.

Re: Post a picture of your ride!
Six in a row , makes it GO ! .
I just realized I hadn't posted my new folly :
I need the triangular three hole piece to install a 1275 exhaust to this engine , anyone got one ? .
I'm busily cleaning the 1/4" thick grease and road grime off the spare rear axle Ay. I found , going to overhaul it with new sealed hub C3 bearings , oil seals and install a 3.90 high speed pumpkin , need to get it Hospital Clean before I take it to have the oil filler bung welded in .
So dang HOT ! .
