Kenny Brock, Rain and a GT-40

This shows just how far ahead of mere mortals this man is when behind the wheel of an automobile.

All I can say is WOW and I did not think there where that many GT40's that would be turned out into the rain let alone driven that way in the rain just for fun.
He was steering more with the rear wheels than the front and just pointing the front wheels where ever to keep it on the track surface which he only once used the rumble strip in that clip from what I could see.
Just amazing in my humble belief.

I know I would have been out in the grass or into a barrier or trying to explain why I destroyed a GT40 that was lent to me to drive after being released from the sanatorium if they ever let me out for trying to drive a GT40 that way.

This is a race Larry and I watched start to finish. With 28 (or so) GT40s on the field it was amazing. There was a forced driver change. Every driver seemed to be flat out with no holdbacks. The offs were frequent. It was a blast to watch Kenny pilot #5 to victory. Well earned.

There is a very different style of vintage racing at Goodwood.

Very glad to see Rae davis in the Le Mans MGA Twincam, giving some much more powerful machinery a run for their money. That Healey was quick though. Kind of just looks like one of the Vintage Motoring runs really.
If you check out online the 2013 Fordwater Trophy race you can see the results and race as seen from the grandstands.

cheers

It really was amazing to see 28 GT40's thundering down the track. No doubt Brack was fast, there were a handful of very fast cars/drivers in that race. It wasn't actually raining though. At most maybe a slight mist, but it was cold. Though we could see some drifting and a little sliding from the cars, I am really surprised how much Kenny is sawing at the wheel. It looked so smooth from our vantage point. Very impressive run, indeed!

I agree! :D

Impressively large group of GT-40's, that's for sure.

In case you don't know who is who, here is an alternate version of the photo with captions.

(Did you really think you could get away with posting that photo and suffer no Photoshop?)

Those shots of the GT40 skating around the track are amazing! What I said before about it not raining...well, where Dean and I were on the main striaght it wasn't, but it's obvious by this video that other parts of the track were indeed wet. What an incredible drive in a multi-million dollar car!
