Re: Random Video Of The Day
The One Take video of my car is finally published. We took this on September 7, 2016 on Spunky Canyon. Please Like the video so he will do more vintage cars. I'm still waiting for the commenters to say I look like Richard Dreyfus or Dr. Hammond from Jurassic Park. Maybe they're too young to know.
He also drove Stewart's 1967 MGB GT. He liked Stewart's car so much he offered to buy it on the spot. What a difference a supercharger makes.

Re: Random Video Of The Day
That isn't a random video at all! Despite the atrocious cinematography, and the fact that I don't normally care for his videos, this one was actually pretty good. It portrayed the car fairly accurately. Looking forward to the followup on Stewart's car.

Re: Random Video Of The Day
Here's the video of Stewart's supercharged 1967 MGBGT LHD. After complaining about the workout he got driving my car Matt looked at Stewart's small, small steering wheel and drove up Bouquet Canyon. It's pretty easy to make the pedals easier to heel and toe. Just grab the accelerator pedal with 2 hands and move it. Lots of errors which is why it helps to have the owner as a passenger.

Very nice! I watched it twice, the second time just for the music, one my favorite pieces.

Re: Random Video Of The Day
Here is a short video clip of the race scenes from "On the Beach", 1959, filmed at Riverside Raceway. Typical cheesy race scenes and some very brutal staged crashes, but all great cars. You have to wonder if any stuntmen where killed during filming?

Cool video Martin! Great demonstration.
Four page article about the car: http://www.sportscardigest.com/john-edg ... all-times/
No, but a well-known MG TC special was destroyed in one of those crashes. The movie was haunting on its own, but the special being wrecked was the worst part!Larry Kluss wrote:You have to wonder if any stuntmen where killed during filming?

Re: Random Video Of The Day
' On The Beach ' was just on cable New Year's ~ I'd read the book in the 1960's but never saw the movie until then .
Sad to see those old 356's getting smashed up too .

That was my first thought too, but it's actually a hill climb up on the Ridge Route.

Re: Random Video Of The Day
Pretty intense crash scene racing footage without the use of digital trickery.
In the article it says the Healey "stalled', technically yes, but it looks to have lost the front wheel or front suspension first. While the loss of the MG is unfortunate, sad to see a Healey 100 creamed like that, but it is nothing compared to all the e-types tossed into the Santa Monica mountains. There was a time when you heard the words "...a Quinn Martin production", you knew an e-type launch was within the hour.
