2018 Memorial Day Run
Are we going to have a run on Memorial Day? If so, what are the specifics of the day? I, for one, would like to have one.

Re: Memorial Day Run
We may as well make it official. I'll be driving the TC home from a tour the night before but barring any issues I should be there. So here goes...
Monday, May 28, is our annual Memorial Day Run so come join your friends (and make a few new ones). This "fun run" tours a variety of scenic roads ranging from canyons to country back roads. The route is perfect for classic cars of all types.
We will meet at the Malibu Colony Plaza located at 23841 West Malibu Road, at the southwest corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Webb Way, approximately 12 miles north / west from where I-10 turns into PCH. We roll-out at 10:00 so come early to kick tires or have some breakfast.
As always, this is an unorganized run and everyone is welcome.
Rumor has it that there will be route sheets at the start of the run.

Re: 2018 Memorial Day Run
Sorry I turned back. Suddenly the brakes got really mushy and the MC had almost no fluid left. Seems a leak sprung up somewhere around the brake switch. Just not my day I guess. Nice run and a great variety of cars. By my count at the start there was...
1 Alvis
3 Jaguar (C-Type, E-Type)
2 MGB
3 MGB GT
2 MGA
1 Morgan
1 Lotus Elan
1 Corvette Stingray
3 Austin Healey
1 Alfa Romeo Spider
2 Land Rover

Sorry I missed you guys I probably shouldn't of taken latigo canyon on the way down and it took a bit longer than planned but no traffic so it was worth it. Lost a bump stop at some point and ended up heading home after it banged a bunch on the smooth roads of california

Great run and 7 of us finished and we invited back for the 4th of July run. The SCMG group said they liked the run and will take our next run.

Re: 2018 Memorial Day Run
After all these years I finally got my wife to come with me. Unfortunately when everyone left it took me so long to get to my car that you guys were already gone and I hadn’t gotten a route sheet. Tom had told me that we were going to end up at Mugu Rock, so I did know where to drive. Just as we were leaving Stewart drove up and followed us until we got to Kanan Dune where he turned off to go home because of car trouble.
When I crossed Kanan Dune I somehow missed the driveway and ended up driving with my wife to Mugu Rock. Because we missed the stopping point I only got pictures at the beginning.
We decided to eat at the Reel Inn at PCH near Topanga Canyon. By the time we had gotten our meal Tom called and said he was at Mugu Rock. He started on the way but got caught in such bad traffic he decided to go to Rib Ranch. After we ate we met them at Rib Ranch. It was a lot of fun, though I wish I had found the start point at Kanan Dune.
You can see the rest of the photos and a slideshow at Google photos.
